The prestigious Marco Pierre White Steak House Bar & Grill Restaurant at the Crowne Plaza Plymouth has an exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef to become part of our successful team.

In this role you will be working for Valor Hospitality Europe which is part of a leading US hotel management company with 17 properties in the UK and exciting expansion plans to add more hotels.

Main Duties:

The Sous Chef role involves a range of duties, including assisting the Head Chef with the responsibility for the preparation and presentation of food for the Marco Pierre White Restaurant to the required standard whilst ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in the department. With a passionate desire to ensure our guests really do have a memorable experience the Sous Chef, Marco Pierre White Restaurant will have a key part to play in leading, developing, training and inspiring their team. Ordering, stocktaking, roster planning and administration related to the department are all part of the role.

The Sous Chef, Marco Pierre White Restaurant will be passionate about food and inspirational, going out of their way to make sure that the guest experience is the best they could have.

Previous experience

The successful candidate should have a quality hotel / branded restaurant background working in all areas of the kitchen together with experience in stocktaking and ordering. A proven working knowledge of Health and Safety, Food Safety practices and legislation is required together with experience in training and supervising others. Applicants should hold a current food safety qualification, be computer literate and be able to work flexible hours
