In this role you will be working for Valor Hospitality Europe which is part of a leading US hotel management company with 17 properties in the UK and exciting expansion plans to add more hotels.

Main Duties:

The Meetings & Events Team Leader role involves a range of duties, including: assisting in maximising conference and events sales by achieving budgeted occupancy levels, average room rates and overall conference and event sales targets. You will take enquiries and bookings, carry out showrounds, take advance deposits and ensure we have all the final details in advance so that on the day the conference and events give maximum guest satisfaction. Attention to detail is paramount in this role. Following up enquiries you will clinch the sale. Proactively selling you will identify opportunities for upselling on every occasion and identify sales leads.

Previous experience

The successful applicant must have previous experience in a similar position in a hotel or conference related environment. Working in an administration and sales role, you be computer literate, be able to manage changing priorities and workloads in a fast paced environment whilst demonstrating attention to detail, be calm under pressure and always deliver a high level of customer service. You will be able to work flexible hours on any day of the week.
