In this role you will be working for Valor Hospitality Europe which is part of a leading US hotel management company with 17 properties comprising of 7 Crowne Plaza, 1 Holiday Inn, 3 DoubleTree by Hilton, 3 Hilton Garden Inn, 1 Hotel Indigo, and 2 AC Hotels. The Company has exciting expansion plans to add more hotels.

The company has established itself as a respected and successful management company, known for having highly engaged people, delivering great levels of hospitality with commercial expertise second to none.

This role may based Midlands or North West.

Main Duties:

The Meetings & Events Sales Director role involves a range of duties including attracting Meetings & Events business into Valor hotels, in line with hotel strategies, by identifying, developing and proactively managing key UK Meetings & Events agents and accounts who can drive business into multiple Valor hotels.

You will be well versed in developing and implementing sales strategies and plans to secure new Meetings & Events business.

The Meetings & Events Sales Director will develop strong working relationships with and influence brand Meetings & Events sales teams to ensure Valor hotels gain maximum exposure and benefit from brand managed Meetings & Events accounts and brand Meeting & Events sales and marketing programmes and initiatives.

Reporting to the Group Sales & Marketing Director, you will work closely with the hotels and with Valor central sales, revenue and market teams, in order to respond to ‘need’ periods and key focus hotels.

Previous experience

The successful applicant must have senior UK Meetings and Events sales experience at corporate level gained in hotels, venues or Meetings & Events agencies.

With excellent sales, account management and negotiation skills together with strong commercial skills you should be able to communicate effectively at all levels. You will possess strong presentation, analytical and numerical skills, be flexible, adaptable and able to respond and thrive within a growing organisation.
