Salary £50,000 (plus bonus scheme)

In this role you will be working for Valor Hospitality Europe which is part of a leading US hotel management company with 17 properties in the UK and exciting expansion plans to add more hotels.

Main Duties:

The Commercial Manager of the Crowne Plaza Glasgow is an important role within the City due to the hotel’s key location within the Scottish Event Campus where it is always utilised as the Headquarters hotel for the many conventions & events at the Exhibition Centre, Hydro Arena and the Clyde Auditorium. The role involves a range of duties including: commercial relationships with key City stakeholders, setting the strategies for growth, maximising revenue and profitability opportunities across all revenue streams and managing the commercial team including the M&E Sales and Revenue offices. You will drive market share by reviewing business trends, analysing channel performance and forecasting demand. Bringing experience from sales and revenue management, you will inspire a pro-active sales led culture in your team as you train and develop them to meet further goals. A key part of our Hotel Senior Management team you will work closely with all departments in the hotel and promote the company purpose, values and behaviours at all times.

Previous experience

The successful applicant must have previous experience in Commercial Management, setting strategies for growth and forecasting the business. Previous experience in managing and leading a customer focused team in a commercial management capacity is essential. The successful applicant will be computer literate, be able to interpret management information and also able to work flexible hours.
